Where does the time go when you are busy?

It is hard to believe that it is the end of February. So far, this year is flying by. The past couple of weeks have been busy. MJ and I have been working. I am busy dusting off my resumes and preparing for searching for a full time teaching job next fall. Writing a resume is the hardest thing to do, in my opinion. For some reason, I really struggle with writing about myself. I always hit writer's block. Luckily, I have MJ to proof read my stuff. He is a great proof reader and is really good with words. He is in the wrong profession. He should be a writer or something of that sort. So, I took a break from the resumes to update Meghan's blog. This is much easier to do!

Meghan's Grandparents came to visit us for a couple of days right after Valentine's Day. They came to visit for the weekend. It was short, but fun. Meghan had a great time visiting with them and showed them all the new things she can do, now that she can walk. She also got some more Valentine's gifts from my parents and a couple of them came from my Godmother. She must be wondering why gifts are always showing up every so often! Thank goodness she does not really have an understanding of gift giving yet. When she does understand, she is going to be so spoiled and think that she deserves a gift all the time! ha!

Then on the same day that they left, she met her Aunt and Uncle from Vancouver, Canada. We met them at the airport so that they could meet her during their 2 1/2 hour layover. They were on their way to Florida to go on a cruise. Meghan pretended to be shy at first, but after about 30 minutes, she warmed up to them. She was given a couple of Vancouver Olympic gifts (One was a stuffed animal mascot. Now she has 2 Olympic mascots - the Beijing mascot and now Quatchi from Vancouver!) and some books. Her Aunt also came bearing another gift from her Aunt in Calgary. That gift will be used this summer when we go to PEI.

After that busy weekend, we had a normal week. Meghan went to daycare while I worked a couple of days. Then on Saturday, I took her to play with her good friend Lizzie. Meghan had fun playing with her. She was a little testy before dinner, but after dinner, she and Lizzie played well together. It was cute watching them run all over Lizzie's house. On Sunday we went on our "Duck Walk" and had fun playing outside since it was such a lovely day. Then on Monday we went to the Great Wolf Lodge for an overnight and some fun in their indoor water park to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. Meghan had a blast and loved wadding in the kiddie pool. She also loved the lazy river, floating on a tube with her dad. When we were there we met another little girl who was adopted from China. She was 2 years old and cute as a button! Our adventure at the Great Wolf Lodge wore Meghan out. She has slept well the past 3 nights! If you ever decide to go there, it is a hotel that is dedicated to kids. They have all kids of neat things for kids to do, besides swim at the water park.

Today, Meghan will see her Aunt and Uncle from Vancouver again. They are flying back through here and again have a 3 hour layover. We are going to take them out for a quick bite to eat and visit before they board their plane to go home. We hope to go visit them in Vancouver sometime in the future so that Meghan can meet her cousins.
