Our trip to Canada was great. Meghan had a lot of fun meeting her Daddy's side of the family. She was a real trooper meeting all of these new people in her life. She really liked her Grammy and was able to make her Grammy laugh at her quite often. During our trip there, Meghan began to feed herself more things and really started to become more mobile. She also learned to sleep in a room by herself! MJ and I took her sightseeing and she had fun. We visited the beach, had some Cow's Ice-Cream, walked along the waterfronts, visited the countryside, and hung out with her Grammy. While we were in Canada, Meghan met her Aunt's neighbors who also adopted a little girl from China. During our visit with them, we found out that their little girl was adopted exactly 1 year before we adopted Meghan and that their little girl was from the same Province as Meghan. Their little girl is 14 months older than Meghan! We also discovered that we stayed in the same hotel in Nanchang. Now Meghan will have a friend to play with whenever we visit Canada. Isn't it neat how fate brings people together? As always, the trip went by fast, but we had a great time.
Now we are getting settled back into a routine. Meghan started daycare last week and she is doing great. She goes three days a week so that I can substitute some to help gain some experience for when I apply for a "real" teaching job next year. So far, Meghan has recieved good reports from her teachers. I hope it stays that way. Since she started, she has really started to cruise the furniture more and is crawling! Yikes! Ok, it is good for her, but now we really have to be on our toes!
