Ok, so today was our last day here in Guangzhou. We woke up this morning to a very cheery girl. She slept all night last night and did not wake up until 730am. We got ourselves ready first and then once Meghan woke up, we got her dressed and headed to breakfast. After breakfast we took a morning stroll around the Island, then went back to the hotel room to get Meghan ready for her red couch photos. She was fussy, but cooperated. Our adoption group planned the picture taking time around the time she normally gets a bottle. I am amazed at how patient she is, but when she sees that bottle, she has a little temper! After the photos, she got her bottle and took a nap. Grandpa and her Nana watched her while MJ did a little power shopping. Then we had to head back to the hotel to leave for the U.S. Consolate's Office for the official swearing in to uphold our adoption vows and obtain Meghan's immigration paperwork. After that we headed back to the hotel and packed our bags. We had another nice dinner at the Cow and Bridge restruant and then visited some of the local ladies here on the Island who were very kind to us and Meghan. Then we took Meghan for a short swim to help calm her down. We ended the evening with a nice warm bath for Meghan and packing. Now we are off to bed because we have to get up at 430am to head to the airport for home! Yeah! We will miss China, but are ready to come home and get our little girl into a normal routine. Our next post will be in the states in the next couple of days!
Getting ready for the red couch photos!
Sitting all by myself on the couch waiting for my adoption friends to show up.
All of the children from our adoption group. The ages range from 11mos to 4 years old.

Another picture of all the children in our adoption group. Yes, those are twins on the right side.

A close-up of Meghan. She was so good. She never cried. We were so proud of her.

The three babies from Ying Tan SWI. We wanted a photo of them together since they all came from the same orphanage.

Our last red couch photo for now. Again, we had a great time and can't express how wonderful this experience has been. Next time I write, will be from home! Thanks for following our story!

I don't know why, but that red couch picture always brings tears to my eyes. Thanks so much for blogging during your trip - it has been such a great story to follow. We are in the travel group after you and we leave July 25th.
