It is official, Meghan is definately a U.S. Citizen

I can't believe that we have now been home with Meghan for 2 months. Sometimes it feels like we have had her forever. Since the last couple of posts, a lot has happened. Meghan finally recieved her COC (Certificate of Citizenship). Once we had that certificate, we applied for her Social Security card and made a trip to Houston, Texas to obtain her U.S. Passport so that we can travel to Canada in October. Meghan is rapidly changing everyday. She is starting to mimic MJ and I more. She is even starting to say some words and associate the words to an item. She can say "Ma-Ma, Da-Da (sometimes she associates us to them and sometimes it is babble), buh (for book and she knows what a book is), and Buh-Buh (bye-bye). She does not wave, but opens and closes her hands when saying goodbye. She also sometimes delayed on the action and will do it after the fact, but she understands what it means. Meghan also understands what we tell her. We can point to something and tell her to do something and she will comply. It is really neat to see her little "light bulb" go off. It is amazing as to how much she has changed. Meghan has also discovered that the cats will play with her (on their own terms) and she is beginning to notice them more. She even tries to feed them cheerios. It will be interesting to see how she treats them once she begins to walk. Meghan is still standing up with our help, but she is not as wobbly. She can sort of cruise the furniture, but she loses her balance easily. She is also playing more on her tummy and will scoot around on it. We have to keep a close eye on her because she is quick!
